Hospitals

NHS hospital services are run and managed by NHS trusts for acute, planned and outpatient services. They make sure that their hospitals provide high quality healthcare and that money is spent efficiently.

Apart from emergency care, hospital treatment is arranged through your local GP, dentist and/or optician. For more information visit NHS Choices

Information about local NHS Trust Hospitals commissioned by Hammersmith and Fulham CCG for local patients can be found here.

Choose a hospital

You can choose a hospital according to what matters most to you, whether it's location, waiting times, reputation, clinical performance, visiting policies, parking facilities or patients’ comments.

A choice of hospital is available for most patients and in most circumstances. Exceptions include emergency and urgent services, cancer, maternity and mental health services. If you need to be seen urgently by a specialist, your GP will send you where you'll be seen most quickly.

If you are having difficulty with choosing and finding a suitable hospital and would prefer not to make the decision yourself, your GP can recommend or choose for you.
