Wheelchair users across North West London are being asked for their views on how wheelchair services can be improved.
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Brent, Barnet, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Hounslow are working together to make the service better for users, and want to hear from people in these boroughs on how this can be done.
An event will be held on Wednesday 18 March, from 11am to 2pm (registration from 10.30am), at Westminster University (Room MG14, Ground Floor, Westminster University, 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS). Wheelchair users and carers are welcome to attend to discuss ways of improving the service.
The room in which the event will take place is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. Travel costs to the venue can be reimbursed. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Dr Charlotte O’Doherty, clinical lead on the programme to redesign wheelchair services, said: “The information we receive by listening to feedback from individual service users is the vital starting point for our wheelchair service redesign.
“Understanding what the service user's vision is for a successful future service will be the foundation of our work to commission a more effective service for North West London.
“I invite all North West London wheelchair users and carers to take this opportunity to join us at this event and influence the shape of their service going forward.”
Any residents who would like to come should call 020 3350 4150 or email email@example.com to confirm their attendance, and request a map if required.
