Mental Health Guide for supporting young people

A new guide has been designed to help GPs and other primary care practitioners working with young people and to better identify their mental health needs.

This ‘How to’ guide is one of a series from the five-year Right Here programme initiated by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation.  Each guide focuses on a particular theme from the programme’s work across the UK and aims to provide practical pointers and suggestions to support the development of innovative and effective responses to the mental wellbeing of young people aged 16–25.

This particular guide is aimed at those working within primary care to support the development of youth-friendly practice in relation to mental health and wellbeing.

The guide is available here.
